| ACCREDITATION
British
Accreditation Council for
The British Accreditation Council (BAC) is the most reliable guide in choosing between the many institutions in the independent Further and Higher educational sector. It was established in 1984 to be the national accrediting body for such institutions. The BAC, the British Council and the Open and Distance Learning Quality Council were described by the Secretary of State for Education as “the only public guarantee of standards in independent institutions of Further and Higher education”. Further information: www.the-bac.org “The
London College of Clinical Hypnosis is recognized as efficient by the British
Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education for
the provision of training courses in clinical hypnosis”.

LCCH
Supervisors
As a result of the changes in the LCCH training course, we have now instigated an e-mail update system for all supervisors. The first e-mail will include a full listing of all Diploma weekend contents, as well as contact telephone numbers and e-mail addresses for the Faculty. After April, each month, external supervisors will be sent an email including the following information: * Updates and changes to the course * Updates and changes to the supervision system * New guidelines on the structure and format of supervision * A monthly calendar showing regional courses Supervisors are always welcome to re-attend the weekends which have new material, or even to refresh their knowledge, and should contact their local co-ordinator to inform them of an intention to attend a specific weekend. You may contact Amanda Farr, Student Liaison, if you need dates further into the future than the next month. Supervisors will also need to ensure that their BSCH membership is current. Please contact Tom Connelly at sec@bsch.org.uk if you are unsure of the status of membership and how long you have to complete Masterclasses if you have not done so already for Full Membership. If any supervisor
has not received their April e-mail, please e-mail Amanda Farr on lcchsupport@aol.com
with your preferred e-mail address. Additionally any other information
which would be of use for supervision – please e-mail Ujames1@aol.com.
Request from Dr M.I. Qureshi Here is a question. Has any one tried treating Fibromyalgia Rheumatica using Hypnotherapy? If so, what were the results or outcomes? I am at present looking into this problem. The other issue that interests me is POST CVA hypnotherapy. I am working on one patient at present with one-sided weakness and speech loss. If you can
help DR M.I. Qureshi, (one of our medical graduates), please e-mail him
at: miq@qureshi.club24.co.uk.
Database on Mac Computers The Practitioner database has been very well received and we look forward to organizing improvements based on user feedback. A number of British Society of Clinical Hypnosis members have asked for this software to be made available for the Apple Macintosh computer and Tom Connelly is pleased to report that this may soon be possible. When a version for the Mac becomes available (perhaps even as you read this) he’ll put a posting on the members forum. |
