SHAMANISM AND CONTEMPORARY THERAPY
Christa Mackinnon, M.Sc. (Psych.), Dip.Cons, DBSCH, took her Masters Degree in Psychology at the Free University, Berlin, where she also trained in family counselling and psychotherapeutic groupwork. She furthermore holds a diplomate in Clinical Hypnotherapy and is Course Director, South-West, for the LCCH. Christa specializes in post-traumatic stress disorders and other trauma related issues, working mainly with survivors of sexual abuse, a subject about which she also lectures, trains and writes extensively. Christa has also in the last seven years trained and worked with shamanic teachers and practitioners in North and South America, Asia and Europe and facilitates workshops combining shamanic ways and contemporary
western approaches.
 

RELATIONSHIP SUCCESS
Avy Joseph, MSc., D.Hyp(Dist.), FBSCH. A Fellow of the BSCH, he graduated in 1988 with a degree in Mathematics, after which he qualified as a counsellor. He trained with the LCCH and gained a Diploma with distinction. Avy has a masters degree in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy from Goldsmith College which he combines with hypnotherapy in his Central and South West London practices. He is Director of Development and a senior lecturer at the LCCH on both the medical and non-medical courses. He heads the Mary McCallum Scholarship Foundation, media relations and external development projects. Along with the LCCH team he is involved in updating the course.
 

WEIGHT CONTROL
Peter Mabbutt, D. Hyp. (Dist.), FBSCH originally trained in Psychopharmacology. He has co-authored over 20 papers on anxiety, tranquilliser dependence, learning and memory. He studied with and lectures for the London College of Clinical Hypnosis. Peter is Clinical Hypnotherapist for the Health Education and Lifestyle Therapy for Hypertension (HEALTH); a joint initiative between Guy's Hospital, St. Thomas' Hospital and Southwark Council, sponsored by Bayer PLC. He has a successful practice in both central London and the London Docklands.
 

HYPNOTHERAPY - ETHICAL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
Maggie Chapman, D. Hyp. (Dist.), FBSCH, is a lecturer with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and runs successful private practices in Wimbledon, Putney and Addington Palace in Surrey. After studying Psychology and Sociology, Maggie retrained as a Certified Accountant and spent ten years in the City gaining commercial experience before returning to the therapeutic world eleven years ago. In addition to her work with the LCCH, she is also involved in therapy for young drug offenders at the Cranston Drug Project and is a qualified bereavement and rape counsellor.

NLP - ADVANCED ANCHORING
Igor Ledochowski, BA, D. Hyp. (Dist.), MBSCH. Igor began his career as a lawyer in one of the world's leading international law firms. Later he trained extensively in hypnosis and NLP and became both a full member of the BSCH and a certified trainer of NLP. In early 2001 he founded ILEDO, an organization which coaches and trains the business leaders of well-known global corporations. Igor extensively makes use of both NLP and informal hypnotic techniques to ensure he gets the outstanding results that his clients demand.
 

EXCELLENCE IN SPORTS PERFORMANCE
Maureen Kiely, BSc. (Hons), Dip.RWTA, D.Hyp (Dist), has since 1986 devised and lectured courses on Assertiveness, and Communication Skills courses for various organisations including:- North Kensington Adult Education Centre, Hammersmith and Fulham Further Education College, Westway Nursery Association, London Borough of Camden, Middlesex Probation Service and The Archway Trust. Maureen is the ‘resident’ trainer at the Ealing, Hammersmith and Westminster Mental Health Trust since 1993, where, in addition to Assertiveness training, she also designs and teaches bespoke courses in response to the Trust’s specific needs.
 

HYPNOSIS IN PSYCHIATRY
Dr Anna Zohrabian, MD, Ph.D, D.Hyp.(Dist.), MDCH, is a Doctor of Medicine who has trained at the USSR Academy of Sciences, Moscow. She received her Degree of Professor of Neuropsychology in 1984 after working as a research assistant with Prof. A.R. Luria at his Department of Neuropsychology and Psychiatry, Moscow. Anna has been practising as a consultant hypnotherapist for over thirteen years and now lectures for the LCCH on the neurophysiological aspects of hypnosis. She is also the Principal of London College of Clinical Hypnosis (Medical).
 

GOLD COUNSELLING - Simple Steps that help clients
Georges Philips, BSc., MSc., originally trained in analytical hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. He is creator and author of Gold Counselling and since 1995 has lectured and taught this methodology to doctors, dentists and others in the caring professions. He is well known both here and in Europe for his work in belief restructuring. He has also participated in the publication
of Rapid Cognitive Therapy Vol. 1, Analytical Hypnotherapy Vol. 1 & 2. In addition he has devised and now teaches Power Thinking to people from all walks of life. Georges has also featured on B.B.C. and Sky television. In 1990 he founded the Association of Analytical and Cognitive Therapists and more recently the Stress Management Counsellors Association. He has private practices in North London and South Kensington.
