The BAMH held its inaugural meeting on 18th August of this year. The Executive Committee (EC) is as follows:

President: Dr Mark Feldman
Chairman: Dr Joseph Mondeh
Organising Secretary: Dr Rumyana Peynovska
Treasurer: Dr Anna Zohrabian

Dr Rosemary Shinkwin, Dr Imad Al-Khawaja, Dr Zvezdan Kalincevic and Dr Axel Wuerz comprise the rest of the EC. In addition, Dr Al-Khawaj has been appointed Editor of the European Journal of Clinical Hypnosis which will also be known as ‘The Journal of the British Association of Medical Hypnosis’.

The EC have called their first Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 12.00 noon, 17th November, at Imperial College, London.

The above is of special interest to past and present students of the LCCH because the BAMH, according to their Constitution, will accept selective non-medical hypnotherapy practitioners as Affiliates and Associates. We are pleased to announce that the LCCH has been put forward to their Board of Education and Science as candidates for election as organisational members.

We shall keep all our eligible members fully up-to-date with any further developments.

EUROPEAN JOURNAL OF CLINICAL HYPNOSIS (EJCH)

Dr Al-Khawaj, Editor of the EJCH, has asked us to publicise the imminent re-appearance of the Journal.

The EJCH is actively seeking Clinical and General articles for publication together with news on current research, and other matters of interest to the profession. You may contact Dr Al-Khawaj by e-mail at ikhawaja@msn.com

Masterclasses

As part of the Continuing Professional Development Programme the LCCH is obliged to present Masterclasses which count towards BSCH Membership. We also like to invite non-LCCH lecturers from related fields to present on topics of interest. We warmly welcome Denise, who is Principal Lecturer in Complementary Medicine/Midwifery at the University of Greenwich, to present on her own subject.

Top of the Pops

Member Glenn Harrold became a chart topper during the summer months with his range of hypnosis recordings. His ‘Complete Relaxation’ tape reached the number five position out of the range of over 5000 titles sold on cassette in the UK. He was only prevented from reaching the number one slot by the ubiquitous ‘Harry Potter’ series.
Not only that but he has five other titles within the top twenty positions! Having heard the tapes we are not surprised he is enjoying such success, they are very nicely arranged.
Glenn informs me that he intends to share his popularity with fellow members by including a contact telephone number on the sleeve of his new recordings, so that the public can call to find a hypnotherapist from our UK database of registered members. e-mail: hypnosis@diviniti.demon.co.uk
