Dream Analysis
Lecturer: Gitte Drewniak

Dreaming plays an important role in our mind's capacity to process data, be it in the form of events, emotions, thoughts, ideas or problems. Research shows that, if we are deprived of REM sleep, and therefore of valuable dreamtime during the night, we get irritable, lose our ability to concentrate, develop problems with memory and can, over a period of time, lose our psychological balance and become ill.

But not only do dreams play a vital part in our daily 'dataprocessing', they can also help us to understand ourselves and other people. They give us insight into the workings of our 'subconscious', can show us glimpses of the future, help us to deal with difficult situations, give us ideas about underlying issues, provide us with solutions to our problems and can be of great help in the healing and therapeutic process.

Acquiring the ability to interpret dreams is a powerful tool. In analyzing dreams, you can learn about the hidden, underlying workings of your mental, emotional and spiritual Self. As a therapist it can prove a valuable tool in helping clients to uncover hidden agendas, underlying beliefs, emotional blocks and deep reaching solutions.

This Masterclass will explore the purpose of dreams and the many approaches to dream analysis. It will provide you with techniques to enhance dream recall and teach you methods of working therapeutically with dream material provided by your client.

Students are required to bring their most recent dream.
