LCCH MasterclassesWorking with Children Lecturer: Lynda Hudson Working with children rarely follows a straightforward pattern of "rapport building, brief case history, hypnosis and closure". Building trust is all-important and often as much therapy seems to take place outside the trance as inside the trance. Being aware of the expectations of all concerned (including the therapist) is important, as also is the need to expect the unexpected and be able to use your own creativity and imagination. We consider the advantages of taking a method-oriented approach as against seeing each condition as requiring a particular set of procedures. In so doing a number of common childhood complaints may be discussed in addition to the ones listed in the syllabus. The age range referred to is from five /six years to sixteen. In the afternoon, much of the time will be given over to discussing your own cases and problems. Please bring some! Please note that this is the same syllabus as the masterclass presented last year but of course the content of the question and answer session will differ as a result of your specific questions
Bring your own questions about real or hypothetical cases
