VOICE COACHING FOR HYPNOTHERAPISTS Josephine Hamilton |

|
As therapists, we often take for granted what our patients hear, understand and interpret from what we are saying and how we deliver it. Practitioners need a good, clear and expressive voice, as it can significantly enhance the effectiveness of clinical hypnosis sessions for patients. This Masterclass aims to improve your ability as clinical hypnotherapists (or counsellors) by focusing on your awareness, and the importance of your voice, its reception, and practise of your delivery with feeling. You can do a better job with a good voice. In a trance state, a patients mind is open to suggestions if they are relaxed and comfortable with your voice. This is why clear delivery, with the use of metaphors, scripts and guided imagery is fundamentally important. How do you sound? During this Masterclass, delegates will have an opportunity to be aware of their own voice (in practical sessions), to evaluate and improve their voice and delivery skills. Self-improvement techniques will be discussed and practised, which will result in a clear and confident delivery of speech. |
How will you sound? Numerous examples will be relayed to the delegates, to demonstrate the positive and negative effects of such deliveries on patients. The richness of these examples will be one of the features of this Masterclass.

MAXIMIZING PERFORMANCE THROUGH HYPNOSIS Maureen Kiely |

The aim of this Masterclass is to provide the participant with an overview of the concept of performance and its application in the consulting room setting. The basic tenet of the day is that each patient who seeks resolution to a problem wishes to leave the consulting room, not only with a solution to the particular issue, but also a strategy or blueprint for recognizing their own capacity and potential to enhance their futures, beyond therapy. We will provide, through a series of structured hypnosis sessions, an opportunity for participants to identify their own performance strategies and sabotage states, discover untapped resource states, examine personal authenticity and discover how to harness drive and maximize personal potential. Through the knowledge and experience gained, the participant will be equipped to skilfully identify factors which influence patients resistance and provide a fixed and mutable impression of their own performance as a practitioner. |
This in turn can become their best practise model from which to work from; thus providing a more efficacious outcome for both patient and therapist. Full course notes will be provided. SYLLABUS:
