What is synthesis when writing essays?

Synthesis:
- (1) draws upon multiple sources of information in order to allow readers to understand a topic objectively, or
- (2) draws upon multiple sources of information in order to present your own perspective or theory in a logical and objective manner.

A "Post Graduate Diploma" has a precise meaning at post graduate level and we are not permitted to use the word "Diploma" is course titles apart from the "Post Graduate Diploma" to avoid confusion. This is a TVU requirement.

Who or what is TVU?
TVU = Thames Valley University. TVU vaidates the LCCH's courses.

What is "Level 6" and "Level 7"?
"Level 6" applies to the CPPD in Clinical Hypnosis. All other LCCH/TVU courses are assessed at "Level 7". The level simply refers to the level of academic difficulty.

- Formative = continual assessment (assignments / tutorials / reflective diary / practical sessions)
- Summative = final exam including the practical
