Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy

The Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) course is designed to integrate CBT, REBT and RECBT into your hypnotherapy practice. It is a powerful approach that allows you to work successfully with your patients in the conscious alert state as well as in the hypnotic state. CBH has a robust evidence base that demonstrably integrates into everyday practice.

What will I learn?

This course is practical, rigorous and fun.

You will explore the application of CBH to many conditions and to many types of patients. Expect change along the way as you think about yourself and your professional practice.

CBH is an action-oriented humanistic approach to emotional growth that places emphasis on an individual's ability of create, change, and control their own emotional states. It is a novel approach that teaches patients how to deal effectively with the past by focusing on the present. It also helps patients to implement healthy and realistic alternatives to existing psychological conflicts or problematic thoughts.

CBH is an effective tool in solving problems. You work closely with your patient, helping them to uncover the sets of beliefs, attitudes, expectations that led them to emotional distress and symptom maintenance. CBH offers a variety of methods to help patients reframe their unhealthy thoughts and beliefs into more appropriate and realistic ones. All in all, it helps patients to develop a philosophy and way of living that will increase wellbeing, self-efficacy and happiness in all areas of their life.

The CBH course allows you to explore a novel philosophical approach to treatment: one that can also effectively challenge those obstacles to patient progress that are typically faced in everyday practice.

The course is both theoretical and practical with practitioners developing a solid experiential understanding of the practical application of CBH.

This intensive course, taught by experienced professionals, takes place over three months (one weekend per month) and provides you with a solid grounding in these powerful therapies.

The dates of the course are:

  • Sat 16 and Sun 17 Sept 2017
  • Sat 14 and Sun 15 Oct 2017
