LCCH HYPNOTHERAPY TRAINING ACCREDITATION

Thames Valley University

We are pleased to announce our partnership with Thames Valley University in respect of LCCH courses in Clinical Hypnosis.

TVU has over 140 years experience as a higher education learning provider in both the technical and vocational arena as a college of Higher education, a polytechnic and a University (1992).

From March 2008 the LCCH Certificate course will be validated as a Certificate in Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) in Clinical Hypnosis at Level 6. The LCCH and TVU are offering the CPPD in Clinical Hypnosis as an entry point qualification for a postgraduate programme leading towards a Masters degree in Clinical Hypnosis.

The next step will be a proposed post graduate programme grounded in the content of the existing LCCH Diploma course. Students successfully completing this stage will be awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Clinical Hypnosis.

A Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Clinical Hypnosis is also planned comprising the content of the existing LCCH Practitioner Diplomas in Clinical Hypnosis and, in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy.

A Masters award will be available as well. This will require successful completion of a Research Methods module and a dissertation relevant to Clinical Hypnosis.

A route which will enable existing students of the LCCH to transfer into appropriate aspects of the PgCert/PgDip/MSc programme will be made available as soon as possible.

LCCH and TVU are exploring opportunities for previous LCCH students to join the PgCert/PgDip/Masters at the relevant place in these post graduate awards. This may require additional study by means of bridging courses(s).

Our collaboration with Thames Valley University is a significant step forward in our commitment to providing the highest quality training for those wishing to study Clinical Hypnosis whilst at the same time providing a higher education qualification that is recognised and trusted at the national and international level by both the established medical professions and the general public alike.
